ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - Justice Minister Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic on Thursday signed a request for the extradition of Antun Gudelj, who was convicted in absentia for murdering the head of Osijek police, Josip Reihl Kir. The request
was forwarded to the Foreign Ministry on Thursday which will through diplomatic channels forward it to authorities in Australia where Gudelj has been residing since 1997. The request for the extradition of Gudelj, who, apart from Reihl Kir, killed two more people and wounded one in 1991, contains the necessary documentation, the indictment and the detention warrant. An international arrest warrant for Gudelj was issued in June 2001.(hina) np sb
