OPATIJA, Dec 18 (Hina) - Representatives of Croatian and Slovene business delegations signed in Opatija on Tuesday an agreement on the liberalisation of agricultural imports. The agreement stipulates the introduction of a zero customs
tariff in the two countries' trade in tangerines, fresh fish and ready-cooked soup. Croatian and Slovene delegations, headed by Croatian Deputy Economy Minister Maja Brinar and Slovene State Secretary Renata Vitez, also agreed on amendments to agreements concerning regulations about the origin of goods, as well as on joint appearance on third markets. Vitez expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Croatian Economy Ministry, and added Croatia no longer needed Slovenia's support to join the CEFTA, since all members of the organisation were supportive of Croatia.(hina) lml
