premises of two international humanitarian organisations in Bosnia
and Herzegovina suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
In a statement delivered to Hina on Saturday, the Interior Ministry
of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim entity said the police on Friday searched
the offices of "Taibah International" and "Global Relief
Foundation", two organisations active in the federation, on an
order from the federation's Supreme Court.
The police confiscated documentation on the organisations'
performance and interviewed seven employees. There is no
confirmation that anyone has been arrested.
The search was monitored by representatives of the UN Mission to
Bosnia.
"Taibah International" was previously mentioned in connection with
an investigation into five Algerians suspected of connections with
Islamic terrorist groups.
Some Bosnian media have alleged this organisation, together with
the High Saudi Committee for Assistance to Bosnia, may have served
as logistic support to Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaida.
