ZAGREB, Dec 1 (Hina) - One of the editors-in-chief of the "National
Security and Future" magazine, Miroslav Tudjman, said on Saturday
the Croatian government did everything it could to destroy or
minimise intelligence services and added Croatia had nobody and
nothing to participate with in the global anti-terrorist
coalition.
Tudjman said this at a news conference held on the occasion of the
international round table "Intelligence Services and Threats of
the International Terrorism", held in Zagreb today and yesterday,
in the organisation of the "National Security and Future"
magazine.
The meeting was attended by 15 domestic and foreign experts in
national security issues. The meeting focused on politics and
social terrorism, the role of intelligence services in fighting
terrorism, legal and ethic aspects of intelligence wars and
problems and the future of international cooperation of
intelligence services.
One of the participants Stevan Dedier, expert for industrial
espionage, expressed regret about the absence of representatives
of Croatian intelligence services. He believes the Croatian
intelligence services have boycotted the magazine.
Invitations were sent to the head of the Office for National
Security, Tomislav Karamarko, and the chairwoman of the
parliamentary committee for national security and interior
affairs, Djurdja Adlesic, Tudjman said and added Karamarko and
Adlesic did not respond.
