ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - The Croatian Radio Television (HRT) Council on Thursday dismissed the initiative of Council member Ante Covic who demanded that the process of relieving HRT director Mirko Galic of his duty be started. The
initiative of the former president and now HRT Council member, Ante Covic, was dismissed after a stormy discussion. Some member s of the HRT Council left the session in protest. During the discussion, Covic said that Galic was unconscientious in perform in duties, allowing bribe and corruption in HRT, blocking the work of the HRT Council and transforming HRT into a public institution. He said he was ready to provide evidence to support his claims. Commenting on the accusations, Galic said he had been slandered and demanded of the Council to voice its opinion on the issue.
