LJUBLJANA, Dec 10 (Hina) - Slovene-Croatian relations with regard to contentious issues remain unchanged, and neither the visit of President Milan Kucan nor that of Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel led to an improvement, Slovene Prime
Minister Janez Drnovsek told reporters on Monday. "We haven't noticed significant changes... after the recent visits. Croatia's stance towards the border deal remains the same," said Drnovsek, adding the "Croatian policy" currently was unable to ratify the border deal. Drnovsek further said talks with Croatian counterpart Ivica Racan assured him the deal "cannot be ratified in the parliament in the short term." He reiterated the Slovene standpoint on the matter remained the same. As for the settlement of the remaining open issues between the two states, there will be no standstills, Drnovsek said, adding it was to be expected the agreement on the jointly owned Krsko nuclear plant
