Democratic Union (HDZ) on a vote of no confidence to vice-premier
Slavko Linic, which parties of the ruling coalition and the Istrian
Democratic Assembly opposed.
MPs of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) have suggested that the
parliament consider a vote of no confidence in Vice-Premier Slavko
Linic, accusing him of politically threatening the party, making
untruthful value judgements about the HDZ's policy and marking the
HDZ as an ideological and political enemy, contrary to his powers
and position.
Such an attitude towards a parliamentary party disqualifies Linic
from the government, read a motion, signed by 40 HDZ MPs and sent to
the parliament speaker.
The ruling coalition dismissed HDZ's motion, stressing this was an
issue of exclusively political assessments, and such discussions
were postponing discussions of important issues.
