ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - President of the Croatian Christian
Democratic Union (HKDU) Anto Kovacevic on Tuesday announced he
would be suing the Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) for "the
orchestrated and targeted attack" on his person during Monday
night's political show "Latinica".
Kovacevic told a news conference that he had fallen victim to "the
pathological media net with no means of defence, whose aim is to
sotonise true Croatian politicians and patriots".
He added he would give the money he receives in the suit against the
HRT to soldiers, defenders of Vukovar and the families of those
killed.
"The communists who have returned to power want to attack the entire
Croatian Opposition, after they carried out an aggression on
Croatia on January 3 of last year," he stressed.
Kovacevic said he had increased the number of his party's
sympathisers through a verbal conflict with Croatian People's
Party (HNS) president Vesna Pusic, whom he described as "the
incarnation of evil", stressing that she and Denis Latin, the
editor-in-chief of the Latinica show, had no backing in the
public.
