PRISTINA, Nov 19 (Hina) - The UN civil administrator in Kosovo has assessed a general election held in the southern Yugoslav province on Sunday as successful. The electoral turnout was good in comparison to European standards and the
election proceeded well, Hans Haekkerup said in Pristina on Monday, applauding the fact that the level of violence throughout the electoral campaign had been low, which he said was a good signal to go forward. After being constituted, the supreme legislative institution in the province, the Kosovo parliament, will take over from the UN Mission authorities regarding health, welfare, education, employment, and environmental protection, in the transitional period of the next three years. Monday, applauding the fact that the level of violence throughout
