BELGRADE, Nov 9 (Hina) - The brothers Nenad and Predrag Banovic, whom the Hague war crimes tribunal (ICTY) has accused of crimes in the Keraterm prison camp near Prijedor in Bosnia, were arrested on Thursday morning in Obrenovac,
spokesman for the ICTY Jim Landale told Belgrade's news agency BETA on Friday.
BELGRADE, Nov 9 (Hina) - The brothers Nenad and Predrag Banovic,
whom the Hague war crimes tribunal (ICTY) has accused of crimes in
the Keraterm prison camp near Prijedor in Bosnia, were arrested on
Thursday morning in Obrenovac, spokesman for the ICTY Jim Landale
told Belgrade's news agency BETA on Friday.#L#
According to Landale, the Banovic brothers arrived in the
Scheveningen detention centre this morning. The spokesman said the
Tribunal would issue a statement later today.
The twin brothers were arrested by five persons in civilian clothes
at a town market.
The ICTY charged the Banovic brothers, Bosnian citizens, with
crimes against humanity, violations of the Geneva Convention and
the laws and customs of war. They were guards at the Keraterm prison
camp where they had tortured and killed Muslim prisoners.
