BELGRADE, Nov 7 (Hina) - Spokeswoman for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Florence Hartmann on Wednesday said that claims that the ICTY chief prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, would issue an indictment
against the former president of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic, were merely media speculations. A weekly in the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska cited sources from the Serbian Justice Ministry saying that del Ponte had told authorities in Belgrade she would issue an indictment against Izetbegovic. Hartmann added that the ICTY prosecution received nothing from Republika Srpska on Izetbegovic. The Bosnian Serb entity's media on Tuesday reported that Republika Srpska authorities had forwarded charges against the former Bosnian president to the Tribunal. (hina) lml
