ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Post Trade Union went on strike at midnight Wednesday because the Croatian Post (HP) management does not want to sign the adjusted text of a collective work agreement. During Wednesday's day-long
strike, at least ten percent of HP employees will be working in order to ensure the functioning of national and international postal services. The Croatian Post Trade Union and the National Postal Workers Union have decided to organise the strike because the Maritime, Communications and Transport Ministry on Monday failed to determine the date of the signing of the collective agreement. The content of the agreement, negotiations on which lasted 16 months, has been adjusted to fit the government's decision on cuts in the salaries of public and civil servants and there is therefore no reason why the agreement should not be signed, the unionists believe.(hina) it

The content of the agreement, negotiations on which lasted 16
months, has been adjusted to fit the government's decision on cuts
in the salaries of public and civil servants and there is therefore
no reason why the agreement should not be signed, the unionists
