SPLIT, Nov 3 (Hina) - Three witnesses in an investigation into crimes committed in the military prison Lora in the southern city of Split in 1992 have reported to the police that they and their families have been receiving death
threats, police officials at the Split-Dalmatia County police department confirmed on Friday. The police did not want to comment on the reports and spokesmen Leo Tauber said intensive efforts were being made to establish the identity of the perpetrators. The three witnesses have already given their testimonies and have been exposed to death threats since. Activists of the Split-based non-government association that engaged most in gathering evidence on the Lora crimes have received death threats as well. The probe into the Lora crimes was launched on September 29. The police arrested seven suspects, who have been in custody since, while another one is on the run. The eight men,
