between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as drawn up by the
Bosnian Council of Ministers earlier this week envisages revoking
the dual voting right but vouches full legal security to all bearers
of the two countries' passports.
The Council of Ministers discussed the draft agreement on Wednesday
and decided to forward it to the state presidency for final
approval, the presidency said on Friday.
The contents of the agreement has not been disclosed. The Council of
Ministers has only said it would allow dual citizenship.
Quoting unidentified sources in the state leadership, Banja Luka's
Nezavisne Novine daily said today the new agreement would revoke
the dual voting right.
In the future, people with dual citizenship will be able to cast
their ballots in only one state - the one of their permanent
residence.
Military service will be served in the country they reside in at the
time when they are supposed to be drafted.
It is expected Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon enable its citizens
to be granted Yugoslav citizenship, under similar conditions, as
well, which has been requested by the Bosnian Serb entity.
