PRISTINA, Oct 31 (Hina) - In the past two days, international peace forces in Kosovo (KFOR) arrested 17 persons for attempting to illegally enter Kosovo from Macedonia and for possession of weapons, KFOR reported on Wednesday. The
arrested were handed over to the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) police. Since the beginning of its operation in June this year, KFOR has arrested close to 900 persons for the illegal crossing of the border and possession of weapons, but most of them were released after questioning. KFOR has so far confiscated 1,500 rifles and guns, 1,300 rockets and anti-tank grenades, 1,900 various bombs, and 190,000 pieces of ammunition.(hina) rml
