SLAVONSKI BROD, Oct 4 (Hina) - The Croat suspected of attacking a bus driver in Tennessee on Wednesday morning and causing the death of six people was a Croatian war veteran, the department for war veterans in Slavonski Brod confirmed
on Thursday. The man in question, 29-year-old Damir Igric, was a resident of the eastern Croatian town. He was in the 108 Slavonski Brod Brigade from July 1 to Dec. 31, 1991, when he joined the Third Guard Brigade, remaining a member until Jan. 11, 1993. Following a U.S. police request, the Croatian Interior Ministry is inspecting if the passport found on the hijacker, who was killed when the bus overturned, and bearing the name Damir Igric, is valid.
