Transport Minister, Alojz Tusek, from the ranks of the Croatian
Social Liberals (HSLS), will have an impact on the composition of
his cabinet.
I am going to hold consultation and then make a decision, Racan said
at the start of the government's session on Thursday morning.
In this context PM made a joke commenting that there was a 'danger'
that the government would have more and more non-party members.
The HSLS statutory commission on Wednesday upheld a decision of the
statutory commission of the HSLS branch in Split-Dalmatia County to
exclude Tusek from this party.
The reason for such a move was Tusek's failure to follow the
instruction of the party's leadership to vote against the
extradition of two Croatian generals to the UN war crimes tribunal
at The Hague (ICTY).
At a session this summer, at which government decided to hand over
the generals, who are ICTY indictees, Tusek supported such decision
of the Racan cabinet.
