LJUBLJANA, Oct 2 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek has dismissed the possibility of solving border issues with Croatia through international mediation, saying he still believes the two countries will sign a recently
initialled agreement on borders. "Arbitration is not topical now. Negotiations have been completed, the governments have initialled (the border agreement) and I expect the Croatian side to complete the procedure so that the agreement can be signed," Drnovsek told reporters in parliament after answering MPs' questions. The Slovene premier believes Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan is faced with internal political problems regarding the signing and ratification of the agreement. Even in a highly hypothetical case of international arbitration, solutions adopted together with Prime Minister Racan would have to be taken into account, he said.(hina) rml
