ZAGREB, Sept 30 (Hina) - The complex financial situation in Croatia, followed by the partially insecure and insufficient salaries reflect on the intensity and ways Croatian citizens save their money. A major part, 62 percent, of
questioned Croatian citizens do not have any savings, the Zagreb-based centre for market research GfK company, said on the basis of a research done this June. Out of the 38 percent of those who save, most of them do so in the classic way, in banks (19 percent). The other group are those who believe more in the old "under the mattress" way of saving money, making up 13 percent of the questioned total of 1,000 people. Saving in the form of life insurance is becoming more important as the percentage of questioned people rose to 10 percent.(hina) lml
