ZAGREB, Sept 4 (Hina) - Croatian Employer Union (HUP) supports the set of measures passed by the government in order to consolidate public spending, but expects the government to also pass a set of measures to increase economic
development, HUP chief executive, Zeljko Ivancevic, told reporters Tuesday. Croatia is still in a situation where the spending considerably outweighs revenues, and HUP is concerned that might lead to slowing down of the reform process. Ivancevic gave notice of the scheduled meeting between the HUP representatives and the Prime Minister Ivica Racan, where measures for economic development should be discussed.(hina) js
