ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - Croatia is on the right track in creating a stable business and investment environment, as well as in adjusting its laws to the European Union, Finish Foreign Trade Minister Kimmo Sasi assessed Tuesday, after
his meeting with Croatian Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic. Fizulic intimated his hope cooperation with Finish businesses would intensify in the immediate future, especially in the fields of telecommunications, shipbuilding and petrochemistry. In the first seven months of 2001, trade between Croatia and Finland rose almost 80 percent (USD34 million), Croatian export to Finland tripled, and import from Finland rose over 60 percent. The two countries signed an agreement on mutual investment protection and avoidance of double taxation in 1999.(hina) js
