ZAGREB, Sept 14 (Hina) - The second round of negotiations on a Croatia-Bulgaria free trade agreement was held at the Croatian Economy Ministry on Friday. The two sides harmonised the wording of the deal and agreed on the
liberalisation of trade in industrial products falling under a transitional period of tariff cancellation. Tariffs will be cancelled on about 70 percent of said products immediately after the agreement is signed. The rest will be cancelled on Jan. 1, 2003. The last negotiating round will be held in Sofia in October and focus on harmonising the liberalisation of trade in farm produce. The free trade agreement is expected to be signed in December. Croatia's export to Bulgaria in the first six months of this year increased by 288 percent, with a turnover of about $6.5 million.
