Macedonian government experts and international associations on
Saturday estimated indirect damage from military operations in the
villages of Kumanovo and Skopje municipalities at one billion and
230 million German marks. Direct damage has been estimated at DM800
million.
Macedonia has joined the countries which have paid tribute to the
civilians killed in Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the United
States. A memorial service was held at the Macedonian Orthodox
church in Skopje today, with US Ambassador Michael Einick
attending, among others.
