RIJEKA SHIPYARD FOR GERMAN CLIENT RIJEKA, Sept 7 (Hina) - A keel was laid on Friday for a new ship being built by the Viktor Lenac shipyard in the northern Adriatic seaport of Rijeka. Croatia is building the ship for the laying of

The ship, Arcos, will have a dead-weight of 2,500 tonnes, state-of-the-art equipment, and be able to lay 600 tonnes of cables. The German client has announced it might order another ship of this kind from Viktor Lenac. Attending today's keel-laying was Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic. Earlier today he held a closed-door meeting with chairmen of the board of six Croatian shipyards. Fizulic said the meeting addressed the shipyards' results in this year's first six months.
