the Serbian government gave assurances for her conditional release last week. Upon arriving at Surcin airport, Plavsic thanked the Serbian government, stating she would not be in Belgrade if the international community had not trusted the democratic changes in Serbia. ICTY indicted Plavsic for war crimes against Bosnian Croats and Muslims during the 1991-1992 period.
