ZAGREB, Sept 6 (Hina) - Means from a 75-million-euro syndicated loan, which Raiffeisenbank Austria dd (RBA) prepared with a syndicate of 18 eminent banks from nine countries, will be used for the financing of the economy and
stimulation of production and new investments in Croatia.

loan, which Raiffeisenbank Austria dd (RBA) prepared with a
syndicate of 18 eminent banks from nine countries, will be used for
the financing of the economy and stimulation of production and new
investments in Croatia.#L#
The loan is granted under favourable conditions with the interest
rate of libor plus one percentage point at the annual level. The
debt service will last four years, and Croatian beneficiaries will
be given funds from this loan under "the most favourable possible
conditions and interest rates," said bankers at Thursday's
ceremony held on the occasion of the conclusion of the loan.
The three arrangers of the loan are The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, DG
BANK Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank and Landesbank Schleswig-
Holstein Girozentrale.
Some Croatian big companies have already started to use means from
this loan for their investments. Small and medium-sized business
people can also count on this loan.
During the ceremony in Zagreb, RBA dd management chairman Zdenko
Adrovic, presented results of this bank in the last eight months.
The bank's assets increased by almost 50 percent to 7.5 billion kuna
(896 million US dollars) in that period.
Its means for loans also climbed by over 50 percent and amounted
over 4.7 billion kuna (some $562 million) with the date of 31 August
2001. Deposits also reached that figure.
The bank's turnover abroad jumped by 60 percent to 3.5 billion
German marks as against the January-August period last year.
