ZAGREB, Aug 21 (Hina) - Railway, road, maritime and air passenger transport in Croatia in the first half of 2001 amounted to 47.5 million passengers, which is a 4.4% increase as against the same period last year. At the same time, a
total of 36.2 million tonnes of freight (3.2% more) were transported in the same period, the National Bureau of Statistics reported. A total of 34.5 million passengers used road transport (2.1% more) in this period. Air transport increased the most - by 24.7%, with 546,000 passengers.(hina) rml

Air transport increased the most - by 24.7%, with 546,000
passengers.
