South Africa's Hestrie Cloete won her first world title with a
season's best leap of 2.00 metres.
Inha Babakova of the Ukraine took the silver medal on a countback,
having also cleared 2.00 metres, while Sweden's world indoor
champion Kajsa Bergqvist captured bronze with a jump of 1.97.
Another Croatian teenage athlete, Ivana Brkljacic, earlier won the
eighth place in hammer throw in Edmonton.
