EDMONTON, Aug 8 (Hina) - Croatian hammer throwing record holder Ivana Brkljacic won the eight place in Edmonton's World Championship with a 65.43 meters long throw.#L# Brkljacic performed better than in qualifications, even though it was shorter by 1.06 meters than her best throw of this year. Still, she made a progress in relation to last year's Olympic Games where she was ranked as the 11th. Cuban Yipsi Moreno won a gold medal. This is her first victory in big competitions.
