ZAGREB, Aug 5 (Hina) - Croatia's military ordinary, Msgr Juraj Jezerinac, on Sunday celebrated mass at St. Mark's church in Zagreb on the occasion of Homeland Gratitude Day and Armed Forces Day. Msgr. Jezerinac called on the faithful
to pray for the Homeland which he said was not completely free yet, urging including Croatian indictees in our prayers so that Croatia, unburdened by the past, might take the path of a better future. In his sermon, Jezerinac urged praying for the soldiers and civilians killed in the 1990s war of independence, for all war victims, and for the conversion of those who committed war crimes and all those slandering, accusing and lying about Croatia. In attendance were numerous representatives of the armed and police forces, Defence Minister Jozo Rados, and military chief-of-staff Gen. Petar Stipetic. The Croatian parliament declared Homeland Gratitude Day after the
Operation Storm liberation on Aug. 5, 1995 of the central town of
