It is irresponsible to make such statements which serve Serbia's internal needs as Djindjic and the others realise they are unfeasible and unacceptable, Kol Berisha, the vice president of the leading Kosovo Albanian party, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance, said on Friday. PRISTINA, Aug 3 (Hina) - Kosovo Albanians have described Serbian
Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic's motion for the establishment of
territorial autonomy and recognition of special status in Kosovo's
predominantly Serb municipalities, as well as a recent special
Kosovo programme, as an attempt to create parallel authorities.
It is irresponsible to make such statements which serve Serbia's
internal needs as Djindjic and the others realise they are
unfeasible and unacceptable, Kol Berisha, the vice president of the
leading Kosovo Albanian party, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance,
said on Friday.
According to Ramadan Avdiu, a senior official of the Kosovo
Democratic Party, Serbs in the province and the authorities in
Belgrade should realise there will be no privileged communities in
Kosovo, but all citizens will be equal.
A spokesman for the third strongest local party, the Alliance for
the Future of Kosovo, said Serbian authorities had realised they
had lost Kosovo and were now pretending to work towards peace but in
truth doing the opposite.
Kosovo Albanian politicians see Serbia's latest plan for the
province as the beginning of a diplomatic offensive in Belgrade
aimed at justifying the call to Kosovo Serbs not to participate in
upcoming Kosovo elections.
