KOSOVO ALBANIAN POLITICIANS SLAM LATEST PLANS FROM BELGRADE

PRISTINA, Aug 3 (Hina) - Kosovo Albanians have described Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic's motion for the establishment of territorial autonomy and recognition of special status in Kosovo's predominantly Serb municipalities, as well as a recent special Kosovo programme, as an attempt to create parallel authorities. It is irresponsible to make such statements which serve Serbia's internal needs as Djindjic and the others realise they are unfeasible and unacceptable, Kol Berisha, the vice president of the leading Kosovo Albanian party, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance, said on Friday. According to Ramadan Avdiu, a senior official of the Kosovo Democratic Party, Serbs in the province and the authorities in Belgrade should realise there will be no privileged communities in Kosovo, but all citizens will be equal.
