ZAGREB HOSTS INTERNATIONAL "URBAN FESTIVAL ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - An international multimedia street theatre project, called "Urban festival", opened in Zagreb on Saturday. The festival was organised by Croatia's Esperanto
Youth.According to Emina Visnic, coordinator of the project, the festival is based on the active communication between residents and a city. The plays will be held in the open and are free. Apart from domestic players, actors from Switzerland, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Israel, Germany, Norway, Great Britain, Italy and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia will also perform at the festival. The festival was financed by the Croatian Culture Ministry and Zagreb City Office for culture. Individual plays were financed by the Italian institute for culture in Zagreb, British Council in Zagreb, Austrian cultural forum in Zagreb, the Croatian Foreign Ministry, ApexChanges, Jadransko osiguranje insurance company and the Sted-banka.
