The ceremony will cost HRK 800,000 and will be covered by the military budget, the Croatian Armed Forces' Deputy Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric, told a news briefing in the Defence Ministry's headquarters on Tuesday.
The events will begin with the a gun salute, with 20 shots fires for every year since the establishment of the Croatian military force.
The muster will include 1,200 war veterans.
Members of the Croatian Navy and Air Force will also take part in Saturday's central ceremony.
On Friday and Saturday, weapons of the Croatian army and police and the collection of the military and police museums will be put on display at Jarun Park in Zagreb.
