NUMBER OF TOURISTS IN CROATIA INCREASES

ZAGREB, June 27 (Hina) - According to data of the Croatian Tourism Association, a total of 211,164 foreign and 22,8712 domestic tourists are registered in seven Adriatic counties and the city of Zagreb, namely 17 percent more than in the same period the year before. The number of tourist was registered on June 25, and in relations to the same day in 1999, the number increased by 63 percent. The majority of tourists, namely 90,920, or 15 percent more than last year are registered in Istria County, while 54,097 tourists are visiting Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, or 13 percent more. Split Dalmatia county with 36,710 tourists (22 percent more), Zadar County with 19,602 tourists (16 percent more) and Dubrovnik-Neretva County with 15,814 tourists (27 percent more).
