Council, who were on a two-day visit to Kosovo, on Saturday called
on local Serbs to enrol in the voters' registers and take part in a
general election, set for 17 November.
The 15-member UN Security Council's delegation held talks with
local Serb leaders urging them to list themselves into the
electoral rosters and participate in the coming general ballot in
Kosovo, said British Ambassador to the UN, Jeremy Greenstock.

On Saturday evening the delegation held talks with UN Civilian
Administrator of Kosovo, Hans Haekkerup, and other representatives

The main topic of their talks were the issue of ethnic Albanian
prisoners in Serbian jails, the fate of missing people and adoption
of constitutional and legal documents in Kosovo.
On Monday we are going to relay a clear message to Belgrade in
relation to the release of Albanian prisoners and the establishment
of the fate of people who went missing in Kosovo, said Bangladeshi
Ambassador Anwarful Karim Chowdhury, who led the delegation.
The delegation met the KFOR commander, General Thorstein Skavier,
on Saturday as well.
