EU leaders will be joined by the heads of state or government of 12 EU candidate countries on Saturday afternoon. As the country chairing the EU, Sweden has been advocating the setting of a concrete deadline for the completion of talks on full EU membership, however, there has been no indication that the European Council has reached a consensus on this issue. France's Minister of European Affairs, Pierre Moscovici, said setting a firm deadline would be unproductive at the moment.(hina) rml
