INT. SEMINAR ON NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS, STATE ADMINISTRATION STARTS

ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - A two-day international seminar called "Non-Governmental Organisations and State Administration: Prospects of Partnership in the European Integration Process", in the organisation of the international relations institute, started in Zagreb Friday. The seminar will be attended by representatives of Croatian non- governmental organisations and state administration, European Union institutions, non-governmental organisations within the European Union, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations and state administration of EU candidate countries and countries participating in the stabilisation and association process with the EU. The seminar aims at promoting the role of non-governmental organisations in the process of Croatia's approaching the European Union and encouraging the establishment of partnership between non-governmental organisations and state administration in the process. On Friday, present at the seminar were addressed by head of the European Commission delegation in Croatia Per Vinther, representative of the European economic and social committee Jan Olsson, vice president of the European platform of social non- governmental organisations and president of the European association of disabled persons Yannis Vardakastanis, head of the government's office for cooperation with non-governmental organisations Cvjetana Plavsa-Matic. A round table will be held on Saturday and will be attended by representatives Macedonia, Montenegro and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. (hina) it
