June undertook a number of activities to uncover irregularities in
the work of the company, after which 500 executive contracts were
annulled and 20 executives left INA, 75 were sent to other offices,
the internal control service and through audit about 150 charges
were filed against workers on petrol stations all through to

management board chairman Tomislav Dragicevic said today.
Dragicevic issued a statement as a reaction to information
published in the media concerning, as he put it, "false accusations
against INA (so-called Vesna Balenovic case)".
Due to public interest in events in INA and the constant stirring of
"negative impulses" towards INA and its employees, and in the same
context mentioning the names of Dragicevic and his associates,
Dragicevic said the company's management undertook a number of
activities last June to uncover irregularities in the company's
work.
Citing the measures, Dragicevic stressed competent bodies -- from
the internal control service to the tax and crime police -- have
been informed about everything that was uncovered.
When the procedure of establishing facts in completed, the public
will be informed of the details, he announced.
"Despite all the political games and destruction, INA's management
estimates that INA's value has been increased by US$500 million in
comparison to last year. We thus ask in whose interest is it to give
these lies such media attention," Dragicevic stressed.
