ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - A renowned Spanish graphic artist, Rafael Canogar, has donated 19 graphics to the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts' prints and drawings department, the department's head Slavica Markovic said last
Wednesday. Although the gift was announced, the number and artistic value of the graphics is a great surprise, she said, adding the gift was a significant contribution to the HAZU collection. An exhibition of Canogar's graphics, staged at the HAZU after he won the first award at the second Graphics Triennial in Zagreb in 1999, is still open. Canogar's donation is the third such donation in the past two years, the other two being made by Japanese Tomoy Uchida and Italian Giuseppe Zigaina.(hina) rml
