PRISTINA, June 1 (Hina) - Commenting on a project by the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts on the exchange of territory and population between Macedonia and Albania, Albanian Premier Ilir Meta said in Tirana on Friday the
project was unacceptable and dangerous because peace in the Balkans could not be achieved by exchanging territories but by securing the same rights for all citizens. Meta added the Macedonian government should speed up reforms, which would leave extremist forces without arguments. Any concrete progress made toward giving Albanians the same status as Macedonians and making Macedonia a state of equal peoples is of great importance, said Meta.(hina) rml
