OTTAWA, May 21 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Monday started his three-day official visit to Canada. Picula's visit to Canada aims at the promotion of relations between the two countries. The first of numerous
meetings Picula is scheduled to held was with ambassador in charge of mine removal in the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs Daniel Livermore. Canada is one of the countries assisting the Croatian mine removal programme. On Tuesday, Picula will hold talks with his host and counterpart John Manley. The talks will tackle numerous issues regarding bilateral relations, cooperation with international organisations and the assessment of the situation in the region. Croatia wants to promote the two countries' political and economic relations. Picula said he would raise the visa regime issue, as well as the issue of the extradition of Josip Budimcic, convicted of war crimes and living

Monday started his three-day official visit to Canada.
Picula's visit to Canada aims at the promotion of relations between
the two countries.
The first of numerous meetings Picula is scheduled to held was with
ambassador in charge of mine removal in the Canadian Department of
Foreign Affairs Daniel Livermore. Canada is one of the countries
assisting the Croatian mine removal programme.
On Tuesday, Picula will hold talks with his host and counterpart

The Croatian Foreign Minister will also hold talks with the
Canadian defence minister Art Eggleton and members of the state
agency for international development and corporation for the
promotion of export.
Picula is also scheduled to visit the Canadian parliament and
several cultural institutions in Ottawa.
