BRATISLAVA, May 11 (Hina) - Croatia will most probably by the end of the year request membership in NATO, Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan said in Bratislava on Friday. "By the end of the year we will submit a request for Croatia's
accession plan to NATO," Racan told reporters during a Vilnius 9 member-countries conference. "The countries which have gathered here today are on a closer path towards NATO than we are," Racan said, but stressed that by participating at the Bratislava conference, Croatia has practically become a member of the V9 group. "We can say that by this conference, the Vilnius group has practically been extended from nine to ten members," the Prime Minister stressed.(hina) lml
