festival hosted by the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka closed on
Thursday with the presentation of the "Veljko Maricic" awards.#L#
The festival was organised by the HKD Theatar from Rijeka and the
Rijeka city department for culture.
The best performance award went to "Brat Magarac" (Brother Donkey)
by Rene Medvesek and the ZKM theatre from Zagreb.
The best actress award was a tie between Natasa Dangubic for her
part in "Ana Weiss", a performance staged by the ITD theatre, and
Natasa Barbara Gracnar for her work in "Nozevi u kokosima" (Knives
in Hens), a performance staged by the Narodno gledalisce theatre
from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The best actor award was also a tie, between Nenad Segvic for his
part in HKD Theatar's "Pet vrsta tisine" (Five Kinds of Silence),
and Kresimir Mikic for his part in "Brat magarac."
