ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - The Croatian government endorsed the text of a Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the European Union at Thursday's session. The government also authorised the head of a state delegation for
negotiations with the European Union, Foreign Minister Tonino Picula, to initial the agreed text of the Agreement in Brussels on May 14. Apart from the SAA text, the government also endorsed a statement reading that Croatia's ultimate strategic goal is membership in the European Union and that the SAA is the basic instrument in achieving this goal. The government said in the statement that the association with the European Union, established by the SAA, is an appropriate framework for achieving full membership in the organisation. The final official round of negotiations between Croatia and the European Union will be held in Zagreb on Friday.(hina) it
