Geneva on Friday to discuss preparations for a European convention on environmental protection, health and trade of goods and services, Croatia's Permanent Mission at the U.N. in Geneva reported. Croatia believes developing and accepting the framework of the convention would contribute to cooperation in the areas of environmental protection, health and trade of goods and services on national and international levels, with the aim of improving the quality of life, reducing health costs and creating conditions for initiating a set of projects. Croatia believes developing and accepting the framework of the

Croatia is one of the first European countries which is ready for
the adoption of the framework of this convention. By accepting the
standards of the convention, Croatia has the opportunity to avoid
development mistakes made by West European countries.
