QUALITY MEDALS PRESENTED AT ZAGREB'S FOOD FAIR

ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - Quality Medals were presented on Wednesday for the best food products which competed in seven categories at the Zagreb Food Fair. The quality champion in the meat product category is the Prsutana company from Posedarje, while gold quality medals were presented to Slovenia's Perutnina Ptuj, the Karlovac agricultural and food processing plant, Puris from Pazin, Sljeme Ltd. and Koka from Varazdin In the meat product category 14 companies were given gold medals for various products, while ten received silver. Quality certificates were given to 13 companies for 22 meat products. In the fish category, the central Adriatic town of Zadar swept gold medals for two products of the Adria company and one of the Tankerkomerc company. The quality champion among dairy products is Vindija's Camembert cheese. Vindija also received a gold medal for its milk pudding. A gold medal was also given to the Stanic company for its Jogobella pear yoghurt. The Klara bakehouse from Zagreb was proclaimed quality champion in the baking, pasta and pastry category for its diabetic bread. The quality champion in the category of fruit juices, non-alcoholic drinks, food and vegetable products is the Fruteks company from Bosnia. In the confectionery category, the quality champion is Bjelovar- based Koestlin for its Speculaas biscuits. The Zvijezda company from Zagreb is the quality champion in the oil and oil products category with its edible soy oil. (hina) ha sb
