MOSTAR CALM AND STABLE MOSTAR, April 7 (Hina) - The situation was calm and stable in the southern Bosnian city of Mostar on Saturday morning, following yesterday's riots, the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) multinational division
in the south-east sector stated this morning. Several SFOR armoured carriers with soldiers in full battle kit were deployed around the hotel Ero in the downtown Mostar on Saturday morning. A day before angry citizens gathered in front of that hotel which houses the branch office of the High Representative, to protest against the High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch's decision to appoint the transitional administration in the Hercegovacka Bank. On Friday evening, the branch office's staff and international workers were evacuated from the hotel. SFOR confirmed that its 18 members were lightly hurt in the Mostar riots on Friday. citizens suffered injuries as well. Many cars were damaged.
