Today's debate focused on a project asserting that doping makes
people disabled. The project will be realised thanks to co-
financing on the part of the European Union.
All speakers in the debate stressed doping should not be part of the
paralympic movement, and mentioned concrete activities aimed at
prevention among athletes.
The conference today also tackled the organising of major European
competitions for paralympic athletes.
The president of the Croatian Sports Alliance of the Disabled,
Ratko Kovacic, who is also on the EPC executive board, recalled
Croatia was running to host a 2003 European table tennis
championship.
