The festival includes 33 new opera, ballet and soloist programmes,
which are dedicated to Verdi and Bartok, Shehu said.
Musical and theatrical events, to be staged by the Vienna
Philharmonic Orchestra, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the 'Ivan
Goran Kovacic' academic choir and the Croatian National Theatre
ballet ensembles and orchestras from Zagreb and Rijeka, will be
accompanied by many chamber concerts at the city's small Roman
theatre, Franciscan monastery and the Church of St. Agnes in nearby
Medulin.
