Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Croatian
government on Wednesday signed a DM22 million protocol on future
bilateral cooperation, the German Embassy in Zagreb said in a
statement.
With this protocol, the German federal government wants to stress
that it will continue to strongly support Croatia in its efforts to
carry out reforms, read the statement.
The German and Croatian representatives held talks in Zagreb on
April 2 and 3.
According to the statement, new assistance will be intended for
technical cooperation projects in the development of private
economy, particularly small and medium-sized tourism-oriented
businesses, and for support in building the utilities
infrastructure.
It has also been agreed to earmark some DM17 million within the
Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe for the cleansing of liquid
waste along the Adriatic coast by using the services of the Public
Private Partnership organisation.
